Description
Tripp Lite Switched 120V ATS PDU
The Tripp Lite Switched ATS PDU switch provides a redundant power option for single-corded network devices. The ATS will normally maintain continuous output to all outlets as derived from the primary input cable. And don’t worry if the primary power source becomes unstable or fails altogether. The ATS will switch over to the secondary power source until the primary input is restored and stable.
The built-in Java-free HTML5-based LX Platform interface allows full remote access for PDU status monitoring and emails. These are available via secure web browser, SNMP, telnet or SSH. Optional EnviroSense2 modules (sold separately) provide a variety of environmental monitoring options. Protocols include IPv4, IPv6, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMPv1, SNMPv2, SNMPv3, telnet, SSH, FTP, DHCP, BOOTP and NTP.
Switched PDU features individually controllable output receptacles and built-in network interface. Super-fast switchover between primary and secondary power sources happens in milliseconds.
Tripp Lite Power Distribution Units – Single-Phase and 3-Phase
The rack PDU is a foundational building block of the modern data center. It transforms high capacity raw power feeds to lower capacity outlets for IT equipment. Tripp-Lite offers hundreds of single- and 3‐phase PDUs with a variety of price points and features, including remote management of distributed and edge infrastructure.
Difference between Single Phase and 3 Phase
One key difference between single phase vs. three phase is that a three phase power supply better accommodates higher loads. Single-phase power supplies are most commonly used when typical loads are lighting or heating, rather than large electric motors.
There’s one other important difference between 3-phase power and single phase power. That’s the consistency of the delivery of power. Because of the peaks and dips in voltage, a single-phase power supply simply does not offer the same consistency as a three-phase power supply. A three-phase power supply delivers power at a steady, constant rate.
To compare the two, three-phase power supplies are more efficient. A three phase power supply can transmit three times as much power as a single phase power supply. Thus, three phase power supplies use less conductor material to transmit electrical power than single-phase power supplies.
