Description
Campbell, Calif. (December 10, 2013) – Barracuda Networks, Inc. (NYSE: CUDA), a leading provider of cloud-connected security and storage solutions, today announced its Barracuda Web Application Firewall earned a five-star rating in SC Magazine’s 2013 Application and Web Security Group. SC Magazine reviewed six enterprise-class solutions as part of this group test, and applauded the Barracuda Web Application Firewall for having an extensive feature set and a well-organized user interface.
SC Magazine commended the Barracuda Web Application Firewall for offering customers a strong feature set, indicating that “the tool sports an extensive feature set, including most of the functionality one would expect in an application firewall and a few that raise this product above most others.”
SC Magazine also praised the Barracuda Web Application Firewall for its well-organized user interface and support website. “The WAF 660 has an above average, well-organized user interface design that gives the user access to a web firewall and access and audit logs, with the ability to create reports based off of the logs,” the review stated. “The support website is a fine mix of just about everything a user or prospective user needs.”
"At Barracuda, we continue to enhance the Barracuda Web Application Firewall to ensure that our customers have the latest protection against DDoS and application layer attacks on their websites,” said Steve Pao, GM Security, Barracuda. "Still, we find that many organizations are relying on traditional firewalls or even IPS systems that do not provide the appropriate levels of protection against application-layer attacks on their web applications. We appreciate SC Magazine’s coverage of the space and their very favorable review of our offering."
