Base functions of the F280C include firewall, application control, user awareness, intrusion prevention service, and antivirus (Web, mail and FTP in proxy mode, as well as single-pass flow mode). Not only that, there’s gateway-based URL filter (in proxy mode, as well as single-pass flow mode), SSL interception / inspection, Web proxy with cache, unlimited site-to-site virtual private network (VPN), unlimited client-to-site VPN, and a spam filter.
In addition, the F280C has secure SD-WAN, cloud-based central management, and advanced threat protection is optional. It also has SCADA and industrial control protocols enforcement, the Tunnel Independent Network Architecture VPN protocol, and CudaLaunch. That’s a multi-platform VPN app for automated rollouts.
Their proprietary TINA VPN tunnels are impressive for interconnecting multiple sites. Once setup they are reliable and robust. And they feature encrypted backups.

The Barracuda F280C runs at 1.8 Gbps VPN Throughput, 2 Gbps IPS Throughput, and 1.6 Gbps NGFW Throughput. It has a capacity of 300,00 Concurrent Sessions.
