Aruba AP 303H access point
The Aruba AP 303H is a flat-out cost-effective little 802.11ac access point. It’s ideal for hospitals and branch offices. The AP-303H is equipped with two internal antennas. This dual-radio 2×2:2 MU-MIMO device has three Ethernet ports, with one supporting PoE+ power.
The Aruba AP 303H supports Aruba’s controllerless Instant mode. It uses Clientmatch technology and Multi-MIMO with two spatial streams. This allows the access point to handle multiple simultaneous data streams. An integrated Bluetooth Low Energy radio allows for location-based indoor wayfaring applications. However, this access point has been designed to operate in the US wireless regulatory domain. It doesn’t include a power source, such as a DC power adapter or a PoE adapter.
As with other Aruba APs, you can run the AP 303H one of two ways, controller-based, or controlerless (Instant) mode.
When deployed with an Aruba Mobility Controller, the AP 303H offers centralized configuration, data encryption, and policy enforcement. It will also give you network services and distributed and centralized traffic forwarding.
In controlerless (Instant) mode, the controller function is virtualized in a cluster of APs. As the network grows or requirements change, Instant deployments can easily migrate to controller-based mode.
Some numbers on the AP 303H
It supports up to 867 Mbps at 5 GHz or 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz in single-radio 2×2 mode.
Why you’ll like the AP 303H
It has great, easy-to-use technology, and great range! With the AP 303H, it’s easy to set up multiple AP’s, including guest access. There is no dedicated controller needed. Simply power up, plug into your network, and connect.
Even if you are not familiar with Aruba products, they are easy to master quickly. And if you need to reconfigure, using Instant Mode makes configuration straightforward.
Summary
Aruba is fabulous for enterprise companies. It is very well suited for organizations that require a large number of wireless access points and need simple intuitive management over them. And when it comes to Wi-Fi management, Aruba gives you the flexibility to choose. You can use an Instant access point or a controller to manage an entire cluster of access points. On the other hand, you can manage them with a cloud-based or an on-site network management platform.
