Description
The Ruckus R550 Unleashed Wireless WiFi-6 access point, like all Ruckus access points, quadruples Wi-Fi 5 throughput out of the box. Plus, Ruckus Wi-Fi 6 WLAN uses 1024-QAM modulation. This increases data rates for compliant devices by up to 25 percent.
This makes it the de facto standard for networks covering large numbers of users and devices, including legacy devices.
Wi-Fi 6 is the foundation of many growing enterprise networks. It evolves beyond the 802.11ac standard in its dynamic bandwidth allocation and MIMO capabilities. It’s also backward compatible with Wi-Fi 5. This makes it a simple, flexible deployment option for fast-growing networks serving education, hospitality, multi dwelling units and other environments.
By the numbers
The Ruckus R550 delivers the ideal combination of increased capacity and improved coverage in dense environments. It’s a mid range, dual band, dual concurrent device that supports four spatial streams (2×2:2 in 2.4GHz/5GHz). It supports 512 concurrent users, has two radios, and 2 x 1 GbE ethernet ports. It also pushes a maximum data rate of 574 Mbps at 2.4 GHz, and 1.2 Gbps at 5 GHZ.
That’s a combined maximum data rate of 1.774 Gbps. The R550 is a 2×2:2 device. If you have any questions about this or any Ruckus product, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Corporate Armor or call us at 866-344-0179! Datasheet
