The Cradlepoint W1850 5G Wideband Adapter is designed for the higher performance of 5G and the flexibility of wireless. It truly ushers in the next generation of Wireless WAN networking. The Cradlepoint W1850 accommodates the diverse spectrums, multiple generations, and breadth of new technologies introduced in 5G. Plus, it delivers enterprise-class standards of scalability, comprehensive management, and security.

The W1850 5GB aisre purpose-built for the new high-performance low-, mid-band 5G spectrum. To address the tradeoff of lower propagation, Cradlepoint designed the W1850 to be placed separately from the router for optimal signal reception. The stylized W1850 5GB Adapter is designated for optimal indoor placement.

Performance of the Cradlepoint W1850

The CradlePoint W1850 has a high-performance processor to easily handle branch workloads while providing advanced features. It pushes 2 Gbps of IP Passthrough Mode Throughput. It also reaches 2 Gbps Standard NAT Mode Throughput and 2 Gbps Captive Modem Mode Throughput. Peak downlink rates are up to 4.14 Gbps, and peak uplink rates are up to 660 Mpbs (based on 2 layers LTE + TDD.

While the performance of 5G is top of mind, the Cradlepoint W1850 also boasts enterprise class standards for high scalability, easy management, and security. 5G is a collection of new spectrum, new technologies, and new network infrastructure that is rolling out over several years.
